With Miele Professional range of commercial machines from CaterGiant the delivery service includes delivery to your premises, physical positioning and installation of the machine, connection to services (electrical supply, water feed, drainage), commissioning and operator training.
This is a mandatory requirement to validate the Miele On-site Warranty for new machines.
It ensures your commercial-grade machine is properly and safely installed by a qualified Miele technician, is programmed with your desired features and operating requirements, that your staff are suitably trained to operate the machine and take advantage of its features and know how to undertake day-to-day care, maintenance and cleaning.
Many of the Miele Professional machines for a new installation may require a
Pre-Installation Site Visit to survey the location and route, check the floor loading, ventilation and water / waste / electrical services, and to review the usage loads and frequency so a consultant can advise on the most suitable model of machine and related accessories.
Cost
The actual cost of the service for delivery, installation, commissioning and training depends on your postcode, the type of Miele equipment, and how many technicians are needed. As a general guide, the cost is
typically £95 - £375. If you have unwanted old equipment, an additional fee will apply for disconnection, collection and recycling/disposal.

Delivery
We can arrange delivery to most parts of the UK via our network of partners. Standard delivery is to a ground-floor point. If your installation is on a lower ground floor, basement or upper floor and a suitable lift is not available then additional cost may be involved to send a multi-person team.
Installation
Installation involves unpacking the machine(s), positioning at the designated installation point, connecting to appropriate services (electric, water, drainage), fitting any additional modules or accessories, and removing packaging materials to leave a tidily fitted unit.
Prior to the site visit, and following any pre-installation survey, we will arrange to send you the technical specification for the required electrical supply, hot/cold water supply, floor load, ventilation and drainage requirements. You will need to ensure these services are arranged prior to confirming the site visit. If the specified services are not available at the time of installation then a re-visit will incur an additional fee.
Commissioning
Commissioning involves programming the machine with various general settings such as operating language, date, time, enabling any optional modules, programming various operational settings for your intended use and running any initial cycles to prepare the machine for use. This may include setting up the appropriate range of wash/dry programmes suited to your intended use, setting any cooling down period, setting thresholds for various sensors and any other operational settings.
Operator Training
Training covers powering the equipment on and off, loading consumables, selecting the desired programmes, loading and unloading tips, care and maintenance and dealing with common issues.
Extended Service Contracts
Equipment is supplied as standard with a 1 Year On-site Warranty by Miele. You will have the option to extend the Miele Service Contract.
Please note we cannot supply Miele Professional equipment in the UK mainland without the Delivery Service for installation & commissioning.
